Bike Sparta is a fund raiser for the Aaron Shafer Memorial Foundation. One of our goals is preventing childhood obesity through cycling. We attempt to do this with education and skills rodeos as well as community rides and a Recycle Your Cycle program which pairs bikes with needy children. Our other task is maintaining the Aaron Shafer Memorial Road Race, a race that Aaron worked on while a director at the Chamber of Commerce to bring business into the downtown area. SPECIAL GROUP RATE: Each adult pays full price. Children (age 17 and younger -riding with parents or supervisor) are ½ price. Children riding MUST have separate registration form. Small children in bike seats or carts are FREE (and pets). Children riding free do not require a separate registration form, but should be listed on your registration to help with participant numbers.
